Founder Dawn Blaylock always had a knack for good food, but her obsession with flavor started back in college during a casual lunch with her aunt. A chicken fajita wrap with a dip that almost hit the spot sparked a decades-long mission: “One day, I’m going to figure out what it’s missing – and bring it to life.”
Through years of crafting tamales, burritos and everything in between, Dawn perfected the now- famous Mz Too Savvy MexiCali Dip. After losing her husband, her biggest supporter, she turned her pain into passion and took a leap of faith and entered her first market and the rest is history in the making.
Dawn is just getting started on her journey of bringing flavorful, creative foods to the world, from selling out at the Fulton Street Market, to competing in the 2025 Start Garden Pitch Competition, to showcasing her products at the Wine, Beer, and Food Festival. Dawn’s creations have earned a loyal following and enthusiastic repeat customers!

Mz Too Savvy Mexicali Dip isn’t just for chips; it’s perfect paired with veggies for a quick snack. You can swirl it into your tacos for an extra burst of flavor, dip in fries for a zesty twist, or even add a dollop to your scrambled eggs for a morning kick. It can also be used as a flavorful spread on sandwiches, as a salad dressing, dipping sauce for wings, mixed into mashed potatoes, baked potatoes or pasta dishes for a delightful twist. The possibilities are endless, and each one brings a new dimension of flavor to your meals.

Mz Too Savvy MexiCali Dip
1 10 oz. Can of Ro-tel Diced tomatoes & Green Chile (drained)
6 Tbsp. Salsa (Chunky or none Chunky)
5 Tbsp. Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
Directions:
In large bowl combine sour cream, ro-tel (drained), salsa, hot sauce and entire pack of Dry Mix. Stir until completely blended. Dip is more flavorful when chilled overnight or refrigerate up to 4 hours before serving. Stir before serving. Serve with all your favored dishes. (Tacos, veggies, fries, salads, wings etc.)

Mz Too Savvy Mexicali Dry Mix is more than a dip mix, its perfect for shredded chicken tacos as well! Simply boil 3 lbs. of chicken—you can use boneless thighs or boneless breasts. Once the chicken is fully cooked, shred and drain the excess liquid, leaving just enough juice to cover the top of the pot. Then, add the Mexicali Dry Mix and gently stir it in allowing it to simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes, with the lid on, until all the flavors blend together perfectly. You can then use the seasoned chicken in tacos, burritos, or even as a filling for enchiladas. The result is a deliciously flavorful, easy meal in minutes!
